Daniel Schwager - CNHC, MRSS, MAcuC
Daniel has always enjoyed a very active outdoor lifestyle previously playing a wide range of summer and winter sports at a competitive level, which resulted in numerous sports injuries. It was through receiving considerable rehabilitation treatment for his own injuries that sparked his interest in western forms of physical therapy.
During his years travelling and living in Asia, he was introduced to Traditional Chinese Medicine and its different approaches to health. This inspired him to train in Eastern methods of bodywork and healing including Chinese and Japanese Acupuncture, Shiatsu, Reiki, Yoga and Meditation.
Daniel's training began in Switzerland in 1994 with Swedish Massage followed by Therapeutic Massage and Sports Massage in 1995.
He then studied an advanced level of training in Sports Massage Therapy, manipulative techniques and the rehabilitation of sports injuries with the Fellowship of Sports Masseurs and Therapist in London in 1996/97.
Daniel qualified from a 3-year training course as a Shiatsu practitioner in London in 1999. He followed this up with a postgraduate Shiatsu study in London and Zurich and took a teachers training course with the European Shiatsu School in 2000/01. In addition he studied with some of the most experienced teachers in this field (Michael Rose-UK, Luigi Gargulio-IT and Wataru Ohashi-USA). This eventually led him into the study of Traditional Japanese Acupuncture and TCM or Chinese Acupuncture.
In 1998 he graduated from the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre in India as a Yoga Teacher and he continually develops his practice and teaching using different styles and techniques of yoga and pilates.
